A6/16	APPOINTMENT OF CHAIR Councillor Mead proposed, and Councillor Clouder seconded, that Councillor Newman be appointed Chair of the Sub-Committee. The Sub-Committee RESOLVED to appoint Councillor Newman as Chair of the Sub-Committee.
A7/16	DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST There were none.
A8/16	URGENT BUSINESS (IF ANY) There was no urgent business to consider.
A9/16	EXEMPT ITEMS The allocation between Part A and Part B of the agenda was agreed as stated.
A10/16	GRANT OF FREEDOM OF THE BOROUGH (Attachment: 1)Report (130K/bytes) The Sub-Committee considered the attached report of the Acting Council Solicitor and Monitoring Officer. The Sub-Committee RESOLVED to recommend to Council to convene a Special Meeting of the Council for the purpose of granting the Freedom of the Borough to Colonel Ian McRobbie and Canon Colin Boswell in recognition of the eminent service they have rendered to Croydon.
