Procurement Strategy Microsoft Azure Cloud Services Subscription

This report recommends approving the procurement strategy for the procurement of the Council’s subscription agreement for Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.

 

The Council currently uses Microsoft Azure for a range of cloud services, including computing, analytics, authentication, storage and infrastructure networking. The majority of the council systems sit on and rely on Microsoft Azure

 

The Council has an agreement for the provision of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services. This is due to expire on 30 June 2023. It is therefore necessary to procure a new agreement through an accredited reseller

Reason for urgency:
Waiting 28 days would not allow the tender and contract award to be completed before the contract end date in June. A further key decision will be required for the subsequent contract award following the tender.
