In the Spring Budget 2023, to increase parents/carers participation in the labour market, the Childcare Reforms were announced, an extension to government-funded entitlements for early years education and childcare, including, extension to funded entitlements for early education and childcare and wraparound childcare provision.
The report sets out the proposed process for administering and allocating the capital funding Croydon will be given to support the Childcare Reforms - extension of the funded early years entitlements, and capital and revenue funding for wraparound childcare provision.
The report seeks approval of the proposed process, and for its implementation under delegated authority to be granted to the Corporate Director Children, Young People and Education, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education.
