Family Hubs Year 4 Grant

 

 

 

The decision is about accepting the Family Hubs grant for a 1 year extension of the 3 year programme from the Department for Education and the Department of Health and Social Care. 

 

To accept this grant we need to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Department for Education which is the lead central government department for this grant.

Reason for urgency:
MOU is due to be submitted to DfE on 08 April 2025. DfE had informed the council late of:

How much the grant will be (20 December 2025)

What the process for accepting the grant will be (25 February 2025) .

The Council needs to sign the MOU and submit this to DfE by 08 April 2025. If not, the Counicl risks losing the funds and the subsequent impact of withdrawing the services and staffing who support Family Hubs would be substantial.
