MINUTES - PART A
A67/14 APPOINTMENT OF CHAIR FOR THE MEETING

RESOLVED: that Councillor Karen Jewitt be appointed chair for the meeting of the Sub-Committee.

A68/14 DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST

No disclosures of interest were made during the meeting.

A70/14 EXEMPT ITEMS

RESOLVED: that the allocation of business between Part A and Part B of the agenda be confirmed, as printed.

A71/14 LICENSING ACT 2003: APPLICATION FOR PREMISES LICENCE: 6/6A LANSDOWNE ROAD, CROYDON CR0 2BX

The Licensing Sub-Committee considered the application for a premises licence at 6/6a Lansdowne Road, Croydon CR0 2BX and the representations received from the Police as contained in the report of the Executive Director of Development & Environment.

 

The Sub-Committee also considered the verbal representations made at the hearing by the Police and the applicant and their representative.

In the course of the hearing the applicant amended the application as follows:

• To have the conditions set out at page 34 of the agenda added to the premises licence if granted (conditions 1-6 and (a)-(c))
• To have the Police condition 7 regarding Croydon Safer Radio added to the premises licence if granted
• To alter the hours for the sale of alcohol being reduced to 7:00-23:00 hours (with opening hours to remain 6:00-24:00 hours)

 

The Sub-Committee, having reference to the four licensing objectives of the Licensing Act 2003 and the Council Licensing Policy RESOLVED to GRANT the premises licence subject to amended conditions and amended hours for sale of alcohol and the operating schedule contained in the application on the basis that the Sub-Committee was satisfied that to do so would support the licensing objectives.
 

A72/14 LICENSING ACT 2003: APPLICATION FOR PREMISES LICENCE: 1363 LONDON ROAD, NORBURY, LONDON SW16 4BE

The Licensing Sub-Committee considered the application for a premises licence at 1363 London Road, Norbury SW16 4BE and the representations received from the Police and a Ward Councillor as contained in the report of the Executive Director of Development & Environment.

 

The Sub-Committee also considered the verbal representations made at the hearing by the Police and the applicant.

In the course of the hearing the applicant amended his application as follows:
• To remove the request for altered hours during Ramadan
• To add the CCTV conditions at page 74 of the agenda to the application if granted.

 

The Sub-Committee, having reference to the four licensing objectives of the Licensing Act 2003 and the Council Licensing Policy RESOLVED to GRANT the amended premises licence application which would be subject to the amended conditions offered by the applicant and the operating schedule contained in the application on the basis that the Sub-Committee was satisfied that it would support the licensing objectives to do so.
