The Licensing Sub-Committee considered whether to grant the application for a variation to the Premises Licence at 76 Westow Hill, SE19 1SE and the representations received as contained in the report of the Executive Director ‘Place’ which included objections from local residents. No representations were received from the Police, Fire Service or the Council's Noise Pollution team.
The Sub-Committee also considered the verbal representations made at the hearing.
The Applicant seeks to vary the premises licence as set out in sections 5, 9, 12, 13 and 15 of the Application Form (see Appendix A2 of the Report - application to vary the premises licence ) including in order to:

Permit the provision of regulated entertainments namely films

Extend the provision of late night refreshment

Extend the hours for supplying alcohol
And to:

Remove the restriction that live music be played in the basement only (condition 8, Annex 2 of appendix A1 of the report)

Increase capacity to 80 persons per floor, total of 160 persons (condition 4 at Annex 2 of appendix A1 of the report)
The Sub-Committee, having reference to the licensing objectives under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Council Licensing Policy RESOLVED to GRANT this variation.
The Sub-Committee finds that the Designated Premises Supervisor is able to promote the Licensing Objectives. It has noted the applicants offer to introduce a last admissions policy and setting aside a smoking area.
