The reason for the Healthwatch service special urgency key decision is because their contract ends on 31 March 2022 and we need to ensure continuity of this service. The Healthwatch service is a statutory service.
The recommendation is to extend the contract for one year from 01 April 2022 whilst a procurement tender exercise is carried out.
