Award of Contract for the Lift Maintenance and Refurbishment Services Ltd.

The request for a key decision reference is in compliance with the Council’s Democratic Regulation for any services or works over £500,000 to be notified as a key decision.

This is to support the extension of contract to the Council’s existing Lift Maintenance and Refurbishment Services contract to Guideline Lift Ltd for delivery of refurbishment and servicing contract, a second term of 36 months from 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2025 for the delivery of key service in ensuring safety of residents and compliance with legislation and Council’s policy.

 

 

In line with the award of contract approved by Cabinet on the 19th September 2016 (Key Decision Ref 23/16/CAB), in which contract was awarded for initial 5 years with extension options for additional 9 years at (5+3+3+1+1+1), to date Guideline Lift Ltd have successfully delivered the first term of the contract.

 

The scope of works comprises of planned/cyclical/ad-hoc Lift Maintenance and Refurbishment Services, maintenance and improvements to Assets across Corporate,  housing education and social care buildings. The workstreams include:

 

-           Lift Refurbishment

-           Lift Servicing and maintenance

-           Replacement/New Door Entry Systems

-           Parts replacement and certification Service

 

In order to support the Council’s landlord responsibilities and enable the Council to continue to meet its statutory obligations over the next three years, and deliver priority planned maintenance and improvement works to its housing assets.
